Coming to God with Childlike Faith

Hi friend!
Welcome back to Tales of Grace!
It’s time for Abide Mondays — a space where we start the week by anchoring our hearts in God’s truth.
This week’s scripture is Proverbs 3:5-6:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
Whether you’re a believer or still exploring faith, you’ve probably heard this verse before — but when was the last time you truly sat with it?
As I’m journeying through the March Challenge — reading one chapter of Proverbs each day — this verse gently exposed something in my heart:
If I truly trust God…
Why am I anxious?
At the core of my anxiousness is often me relying on myself instead of surrendering to Him.
My prayer this week is that we would come to God like little children — fully trusting, without fear. A child doesn’t worry about where their next meal will come from… they simply trust their Father to provide.
Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You that You are trustworthy and faithful. Forgive me for the times I’ve leaned on my own understanding instead of resting in You. Holy Spirit, help me come to You this week with childlike trust — surrendering my worries and believing You will make my path straight.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Are you joining me in the March Challenge?
Let me know in the comments — I’d love to walk this journey with you!
With love and grace,
The Founder of Tales of Grace
