Resting in the Hands That Started It All

Hi friend!
Welcome back to Tales of Grace and our little Monday rhythm—Abide Mondays.
Today, I found myself clinging to this truth from Philippians 1:6:
“He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
Isn’t that such a comforting promise?
There are days—more than I’d like to admit—when I feel this weight, this pressure to be ready, to have it all figured out, to somehow equip myself for the very thing I believe God has called me to do. But the beautiful, freeing truth is… I can’t. And I was never meant to.
I don’t have all the wisdom. I don’t hold all the answers. And I certainly can’t muster up the strength on my own. But God can. And He will. It’s not up to me—it never was. He started this work in me, and He is the One who will faithfully see it through.
So as this new week begins, let’s breathe that in together:
There’s no need to strive.
No need to chase.
Just rest.
Because the One who began the good work in you hasn’t let go, and He’s not finished yet.
Let’s pray, together:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You. Thank You that Your mercy met me this morning and gently whispered, “I’m here.” Thank You for this beautiful day—a gift I didn’t earn but get to receive. Help me to rejoice in it and to be glad, even in the ordinary moments.
Remind me, again and again, that in You there is no striving. That You are enough. And what You give me for today is enough too. Fill me, Holy Spirit. Equip me for what You’ve called me to. I trust You with the process, the timing, and the outcome.
In the beautiful and faithful name of Jesus, Amen.
Have a blessed week, my friend.
And if you haven’t yet, don’t forget to grab your copy of the Loved Beyond Measure journal—either right here or on Amazon. It’s waiting to bless your quiet moments.
With all my love and grace,
