Hi friend,
Welcome back to Tales of Grace! I’m so glad you’re here.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve felt a stirring in my heart to dive into something that touches each of our lives in deeply personal ways: healing. Whether we speak it aloud or carry it silently we all have areas in our lives—seen or unseen—that ache for restoration.
Healing is a word we use often, but what does it truly mean? Merriam-Webster defines healing as “to make sound or whole” or “to restore to health”. It mends what’s broken, brings wholeness to what’s fragmented, and revives what feels lost.
However, as I’ve reflected on this, I’ve come to realize that healing does not always unfolds as straightforwardly as I might hope. Honestly, that doesn’t always sit well with me. Sometimes, healing is miraculous, instant, and life-changing; like the stories we read in the Bible or the ones we’ve heard, seen, and even experienced ourselves.
On the other hand, there are moments when healing unfolds as a slow, unseen process that stretches us, requiring trust, patience, and surrender. And let’s be real—there are also times when healing doesn’t come in the way we hope. These moments often leave us with lingering questions, questions we wrestle with in the quiet, tender corners of our hearts.
For this reason, I’ve felt led to start this series. Redefining Healing is about unpacking these complexities together. It’s about looking beyond our expectations and discovering the depth of God’s grace in our brokenness. Over the next few weeks, we’ll explore stories from the Bible, reflect on my own experiences, and, I hope, share some of your stories too.
As we embark on this journey, my prayer for this series is simple: that it becomes a space where we can journey together, asking hard questions, finding encouragement, and rediscovering Jehovah Rapha—the God who heals. Healing may not always look like we expect, but His grace is always present, and His love never fails.
I’d love to hear from you, friend. Is there an area of your life where you’re longing for healing? Or a story of God’s restoration that’s close to your heart? I’d be so honoured if you’d share it with me. You can send it through the contact page or drop a comment below.
Let’s walk this journey together, encouraging one another and celebrating the ways God works, even in the waiting.
With love and grace,
Founder of Tales of Grace
