Happy 2025!

Wow, I can’t believe it’s already the new year—and Tales of Grace has been running for just over a month now. Isn’t that wild? As I look back on this little journey we’ve started together, my heart feels so full. Truly, God’s grace has carried me through the past year. And I’m beyond grateful for the chance to share that grace with you.

To be honest, if you had told me a year ago that I’d be writing a blog, I would have laughed—probably for more reasons than one! The idea wasn’t even on my radar, at least not in the past few years. About seven years ago, though, I had this dream—a desire to create a space where people could feel seen and heard, a space where we could pause and reflect on God’s grace that has carried us through. But as time passed, I let that dream slip away, thinking it would never happen.

Yet here we are. It’s a beautiful reminder that God’s plans are always so much greater than our own. As I sit here reflecting on the past year, I’m in awe of how much can change in such a short time. This year has been nothing short of a testimony to His faithfulness. And now, as we step into 2025, I can’t help but feel excited—excited for what He has in store for you, for me, and for this blog.

Just a few weeks ago, I had the most soul-filling phone call with a dear friend. We spent hours dreaming together, sharing our hearts, and talking about what we’re trusting God for in the year ahead. If you’ve never had a conversation like this, let me tell you—it’s a game changer. There’s something so powerful about laying your dreams before God and saying, “Lord, I trust You with this.” It shifts everything.

It’s not about manifesting or willing things into existence. It’s about surrender—releasing your desires into God’s hands and watching Him work in ways you couldn’t even imagine.

Ephesians 3:20 reminds us that He is able to do “exceedingly, abundantly more than we can ask or think.”

And isn’t that the kind of hope we all need as we step into a new year?

During that call, my friend shared a passage from Isaiah 54:1-4 that hit me straight in the heart. It’s a promise of restoration and hope—a reminder that God can rebuild even the most broken parts of our lives. As I prayed over this new year, those verses stayed with me, alongside something someone spoke over me at church recently. I’m holding onto those words and trusting God for big, beautiful things in 2025.

I believe this will be a year of Jubilee—a year where God restores what the locusts have stolen, where dreams are revived, and where His faithfulness shines through every moment.

I don’t know what 2024 looked like for you. Maybe it was filled with joy and victory, or maybe it felt heavy and uncertain. Wherever you’re coming from, this new year is a fresh start—a chance to walk in God’s grace, trust His timing, and lean into His unchanging love. He’s with you in every high and every low, and I’m confident that His love will carry you through whatever this year holds.

So, let’s make 2025 a year to remember. Let’s dream boldly, trust deeply, and celebrate God’s goodness every single day. You’re not walking this path alone, and I’m so grateful to journey alongside you. Together, let’s grow in faith and grace as we step into all that God has prepared for us.
